Lamp Restoration
This is an old lamp that came from my grandparent’s house. My mother only wanted the frayed sections cut out of the cord. That would have left only about three feet of cord that was not in very good condition. I decided to replace the cord so it would be a more reasonable length. As I took it apart, a lot of the paint flaked off. Obviously, it would need to be sealed, primed and repainted. New paint next to tarnished brass would not look right, so the only choice was total restoration. Overall, this was a pretty fun little project. Now I’m on the lookout for other antiques to restore.
